NIGHT 1: HANOI HA GIANG

19h00-20h00: The sleeping bus picks you up at the meeting point in the Old Quarter area (Opera House, Tran Quang Khai Street).

DAY 1: HA GIANG - QUANG BA - YEN MINH - DONG VAN (B/L/D)

04:00 – 04:30: Arrive in Ha Giang city by sleeper bus. You’ll be transferred to a local homestay for a short rest, freshening up, and breakfast.

07:00: Meet your guide and driver, then begin the journey into the spectacular landscapes of the Dong Van Karst Plateau – a UNESCO Global Geopark. Today’s highlights include:

  • Ha Giang Kilometer Zero Marker – symbolic starting point of all journeys to the northernmost land.

  • Bac Sum Pass – an 8 km winding mountain road offering stunning photo opportunities.

  • Quan Ba Heaven Gate – enjoy sweeping views of Tam Son town and the famous Twin Mountains (Fairy Bosom).

Morning: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

  • Special Sunday activity (optional): Visit the vibrant Dong Van Market, where H’Mong, Dao, Tay and other ethnic groups gather in colorful traditional clothing to trade goods, livestock, and handicrafts. It’s one of the most authentic cultural experiences in northern Vietnam.

08:00: Check out from your hotel and begin an unforgettable journey through the heart of Ha Giang’s limestone plateau:

  • Ma Pi Leng Pass – Drive along the legendary “Happiness Road”, a spectacular 16km stretch linking Dong Van and Meo Vac. This is considered one of the most beautiful mountain passes in Vietnam.

  • Tu San Canyon Viewpoint – Stop at 1,500m altitude for jaw-dropping views of the deepest canyon in Vietnam, plunging 800m down to the emerald waters of the Nho Que River.

  • Nho Que River Boat Excursion – Cruise upstream on jade-green waters to experience the grandeur of Tu San Canyon from below. The river enters Vietnam at Seo Lung village (Lung Cu commune) and flows gracefully under the cliffs of Ma Pi Leng Pass.
