Frequently asked questions

1. Which Sapa tour is right for me?
2. How do I get from Hanoi to Sapa?

Sapa is about 5–6 hours from Hanoi by expressway. Our tours include transport by limousine van or sleeper bus, so you do not need to arrange anything yourself. Many travelers combine Sapa with Ha Long Bay or Ninh Binh in one trip.

3. When is the best time to trek in Sapa?

September to November and March to May are the best months: clear skies and comfortable trekking weather. The rice terraces turn golden in September, just before harvest. Winter (December–February) can be cold and foggy. Read more in our guide to the best time to visit Sapa.

4. Are Sapa treks difficult?

Most village treks are easy to moderate, 3–5 hours on dirt paths through rice terraces, suitable for anyone with average fitness. Climbing Fansipan can be done by cable car, so no mountaineering experience is needed. Wear good walking shoes, as trails get muddy after rain.
